KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 20): DKSH Holdings Malaysia Bhd (KL:DKSH), a market expansion services provider, reported a 34.8% year-on-year jump in its second-quarter net profit, driven by higher revenue and unrealised foreign exchange gains.
Net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026) rose to RM32.3 million from RM23.9 million a year earlier, as revenue grew 10.8% to RM2.21 billion from RM1.99 billion, supported by growth from newly secured and existing clients in its consumer goods and healthcare segments.
Profit before tax up 33.2%
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said profit before tax for the quarter increased by 33.2% compared with the same quarter of 2025, mainly due to revenue growth and unrealised foreign exchange effects. No dividend was declared with the latest quarterly results.
First-half performance
For the six months ended June 30 (1HFY2026), the group's net profit rose 13.5% to RM81.83 million from RM72.12 million, as operational efficiencies, besides favourable forex gains, lifted profitability. Revenue climbed 8.3% to RM4.56 billion from RM4.21 billion.
Outlook and business focus
DKSH said it is cautiously optimistic about the outlook for FY2026 amid the prevailing market environment, as it focuses on maintaining a well-diversified portfolio while growing the business and improving cost and resource efficiency. The group said it continues to enhance people's competencies, accelerating digitalisation and adopting advanced technology, while managing working capital and consistently monitoring the short-term outlook to navigate the prevailing market environment.
Share price and operations
DKSH shares closed unchanged at RM6.05 on Thursday (Aug 20), giving it a market capitalisation of RM953.8 million. Besides distributing consumer goods, healthcare and technology for global brands, the group owns and operates the Famous Amos chocolate chip cookie retail chain in Malaysia.
